Webmeeting 04-07-09
Instructional Technology certification course (Joanne)
- Lots of people ready to take the courses
- The money has not been approved
- The existing 4000 level course numbers will be used
- The classes have been partly developed. We would like to do it via blackboard
- They want their classes to fit their needs
- All online program
- Need to followup with RCDE.
- Could be an internship or student project to get the information in blackboard
Marketing an online MS degree
- Committee is meeting on the 14th
- Have a marketing plan by the 21st
- We would like to put our best foot forward
- RCDE will put up $3000 for the development
- Perhaps student work is not the way to go on this...
- This should go on to the ciriculum meeting
- We will not get rid of our "on campus" MS
- What demographic should we target first?
- National
- Dubai
- South Pacific
- Alumni
- Military
- Need to get approved through the military system
- Some of them are in the MEd program now
- They may consider an MS
- Conferences
- Other programs
- Selling faculty on the program
- Look to other states
- We have had students in the intermountain west but we are no longer limited there
- Perhaps meeting with the marketing in RCDE would be enlightening
- Look at other programs like ours
- Indiana
- Boise State
- Phoenix
- Waldon
- Western Governors
- Create a list of possible contacts to market the program
- There is a google doc Kristy created
- Maybe an advising deadline
- How big do we want the cohorts?
- We will likely pull from the MEd
- Setting limitation is likely a good idea
- We can likely creating find enough to be in the program by focused marketing
- Application deadlines
- When should we put the deadlines?
