C-Forum: Utah Technology Content Forum

C-Forum was formed in September of 1999 to help Technology Trainers and Staff Developers across the state of Utah learn new concepts, share resources and network with colleagues. Monthly meetings are held at various locations around Utah during the school year. Information is also shared via the C-Forum mailing list (C-Forum - Utah Education Network. 2008).

C-Forum is hosted by the Utah Education Network. It's monthly meetings rotate to different locations with in Utah's school districts.   Some other educational organizations such as the Utah Education Network (UEN), Utah State Office of Education (USOE), Regional Resource Centers, Utah Coalition for Educational Technology (UCET), and other state agencies also support and participate in C-Forum.

C-Forum's 2008-2009 schedule:

9:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

  • October 3, 2008 - Alpine SD
  • November 7th - Provo
  • December 5th - Granite
  • January 9th - UEN
  • February 6th - Jordan
  • April 3rd - Nebo
For each meeting, organizers ask some c-forum members to prepare a review, tutorial or demonstration of new educational software or instructional technology tools.  Typically these demonstrations run about 30 minutes.  Each meeting has about 5-7 demonstrations then usually UCET, USOE, and UEN leadership gives updates to members on what their organizations are doing to benefit technology in Utah's schools.

The meetings go for five and a half hours, and lunch is provided for those who register for the meeting.  There are short breaks and many opportunities for members to network and share with one another.
