RSS
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication.
An RSS feed is a specially formatted XML text document that shows you recent news or changes occurring on a website.
You can read recent news or blog posts for example by importing a link to an RSS file into an RSS reader, such as Google Reader or Bloglines.
There are various RSS feeds you can subscribe to on the ITLS website, including
- Front page news: http://itls.usu.edu/rss.xml
- Upcoming calendar events: http://itls.usu.edu/calendar/upcoming/feed
- Recent blog posts by everyone: http://itls.usu.edu/blog/feed
- You will also find individual RSS feeds for each person's blog
- There is a RSS feed for the job board: http://itls.usu.edu/jobs/feed
- There is a feed for shared links and activities (people's outside blogs and bookmarks): http://itls.usu.edu/activities/feed
- Each group has its own RSS feed
- The Journals page lists RSS feeds for various educational research journals. Very handy to keep up to date on new journal articles.
