Background:

The Utah Education Network is a consortium of public education partners, including the Utah System of Higher Education 
and its ten universities and colleges and Utah eLearning Connection; the Utah State Office of Education, 
local school districts and the Utah Electronic High School and; the state’s Library system. (http://www.uen.org/ueninfo/)


Username/Password: 

Users can register for a username and password which will create a page for them to keep their 
information resources organized. Utah educators who register with their school/institution email will have full access to UEN's services
which include: creating Adobe PDF files online, educator home access to K-12 Pioneer Library , 200 MB of document storage
on my.uen, and Wimba Classroom, an online communication tool.


Evaluation of UEN:
The Utah Educator Network is an excellent resource for educators, students, and parents that features 
lesson plans, educational videos, curriculum search, activities, educational web sites, research tools, and more. It is a 
comprehensive site that combines Utah's best resources. Also featured is a link to Pioneer Online Library.


Professional Development: 
A link for educators which directs them to classes offered throughout the state. 
Educators must log in with their uen password and pay all fees as listed.


UEN-TV: 
UEN-TV offers many educational videos that can be downloaded to a computer or MP3 player.
There is also a scehdule of upcoming programs. Instructions for downloading are available. 


K12 Student Center:
This Center is the meat of the web site for students and their parents; educators can also use it for
in-class activities. The page consists of research tools; Current Events; a Pioneer link; College Information; Learning Search;
Featured Resource which highlights one of the resources available and its link; Links and References such as: 
Bill Nye the Science Guy, math interactives, Ben's Guide to U.S. Government,and more; Utah info; world resources;
Internet related websites; interactive projects and activities; student interactives, featuring educational games and 
activities; and Find An Educator. 


Research Tools:
Found within the student center the research tools link to Pioneer Online Library, NASA, 
Library of Congress, Our Documents featuring the key documents of the U.S., and the Census Bureau.
