Confrence Description

TTIX or Teaching with Technology Idea Exchange is an open conference for higher ed and K-12 educators, designers, developers, technologists, trainers, and administrators. The conference itself is free to all such attendees.  The purpose of the conference is to able to exchange ideas on how to best integrate technology into educational practices. 

 

Some of the concepts covered at the conference in 2009 were:

  • Is originality overrated?
  • What does “data literacy” look like?
  • Can educators learn to stop worrying and love the remix?
  • Do the implications of digital media turn our educational institutions inside out?
  • What does “data literacy” look like?
  • Can collaboration and creation of the highest order even co-exist, much less be meaningfully combined?
  • The contrary history of the idea of the idea.

 

Conference Location(s)

TTIX 2009 was held June 3-5 2009 on the campus of Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah.  The 2010 conference is scheduled for June 9-11th.  The location is to be announced at a later date.  Check the website for details.
