  • By 2 weeks from now do the Technologies assignment.
  • By 2 weeks read Chapter 9 of the How People Learn book, on Technologies for Learning
 Week 9: Oct 22
  • Meet in class (broadcast)
  • Go over research paper assignment and topics.
  • Assign dates for presentations about your paper topic.
 Week 10: Oct 29
  • Meet online in Wimba
  • Student presentations about Technologies
  • Deadline: Create a wiki page for the Technologies assignment.
  • (this is now OPTIONAL): By today submit an initial outline and reference list for your Research Paper.  Try to find at least 3 good research journal articles to use for your paper.  Ultimately you'll need at least 5 sources for your full paper.  See the list of journals for some sources.
 Week 11: Nov 5
  • Meet online in Wimba
  • Individual 10 minute presentations about research topics, for those with last names beginning with letters N to Z.
 Week 12: Nov 12  
  • Meet online in Wimba
  • Individual 10 minute presentations about research topics, for those with last names beginning with letters A to M.
 Week 13: Nov 19  
  • Deadline: By today submit draft of your Research Paper.  You will receive feedback about your draft.
 Week 14: Nov 26 THANKSGIVING BREAK  
 Week 15: Dec 3
  • Meet in class (broadcast)
  • The future of ed tech
    • Instructional design in 3D virtual environments
  • Discuss research papers and final Reflection or Revision Assignment assignment.
 
 Week 16: Dec 8-12 FINALS WEEK
  • Deadline December 10th: Submit final draft of research paper taking into account feedback you received.
  • Deadline December 12th: Final reflection paper assignment due or revise/fix up 3 articles in the Ed Tech Knowledge Base.  See the Reflection or Revision Assignment page for more info on this assignment.
