Overview

The International Association for Language Learning Technology (IALLT) is an organization dedicated to promoting the effective use of instructional technology in the learning of language, literature, and culture.

Its members come from varied backgrounds, with a broad range of knowledge in language learning and technology. These include, but are not limited to: language teachers, librarians, lawyers, architects, language laboratory vendors, software and textbook companies.

IIALT is concerned with the use of technology in language studies. Their members share information and ideas related to the use of technology in language learning. For example, instructional media design and development, curricular integration, needs assessment, learning center layout, hardware and software evaluation, funding and grants, personnel, copyright, cataloging and lab management.

 
Membership Fees and Benefits
Educational Member (Individual): Access to the “Members Only” area of the website which includes access to online publications, wiki for news and discussions, easy access to other members, IALLT Online Journal of Language Learning Technologies, and discounts on all other IALLT publications. Cost is $50 for 1 year and $90 for 2 years.
 
Educational Member (Retired): Same benefits as a regular educational member. Cost is $25 for 1 year.
 
Educational Member (Full-time Student): Same benefits as a regular Educational Member, but requires the signature of a sponsoring Education Member. Cost is same as retired, $25 for 1 year.
 
Commercial Member:  Benefits are the same as Educational Member, but they cannot hold office or have voting rights. However, they do learn of sponsoring IALLT activities before other commercial entities. Cost is $200 for 1 year and $380 for 2 years.
