The Master of Education program is a degree program specifically designed for classroom teachers, educators, school librarians and administrators.
Master of Arts (MA) (on campus or online)
The goal of the Master of Arts program is to prepare individuals for careers in instructional design and development.
Master of Science (MS) (on campus or online)
Students in the Master of Science program do research on a topic of their choice and write a thesis.
The ITLS program firmly supports distance education, but all of our programs are also available in person as well at Utah State University in Logan, Utah. The Instructional Technology and Learning Sciences (ITLS) Department is on the second floor of the Education Building.
Our master's programs are available fully online. Students enrolled in our online courses are highly satisified. According to the 2019 U.S. News and World Report, the ITLS Programs ranked first in the nation and Utah State's online’s graduate education programs ranked third in the nation (CEHS News).
