Week 11: Drupal Views & the Content Construction Kit (CCK)

This last week (see the week 11 notes) I give you a taste of how to create new content types in drupal using the CCK module, and a bit about how to create 'views' of nodes.  In this case we create a new 'event' content type and calendar and upcoming events views.  Use of views & cck is NOT a requirement for your final project due next week (July 30th), however.

Doug, how did you get the text inside of the Preface div? The text on your site says "Our Mission is to Teach HTML, CSS, and Drupal".

mission statement and themes

Hi, go to administration-> site information and enter a mission statement and then click save configuration.

then to show it in your theme, go to site building -> themes and configure your acquia-marina them - on that page check the checkbox next to show mission statement and then hit the save button and revisit your front page to see
