Announcement of Faculty Position
AREA: Instructional Technology with emphasis in Research and Program Evaluation
RANK: Assistant/Associate Professor
BEGINNING DATE: August, 2010
CONTRACT: Tenure Track: Nine Months
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Instructional/Educational Technology, School Library Media, Educational Research or a closely related
field with knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research. Terminal degree must be awarded prior to position starting date.
• Record of public school experience preferred.
• Record of university teaching experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to teach courses in Research, Program Evaluation, and Instructional/Educational Technology.
• Record of scholarly productivity in the areas of Research, Instructional/Educational Technology, School Library Media or a closely related field.
• Expertise in computers, computer applications, and emerging technologies related to Educational Research, Instructional Technology, and/or School Library Media.
• Ability to direct Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) research projects, action research, and program evaluations.
• Experience teaching to and communicating with students through distance and emerging technologies such as WebCT, Blackboard, Moodle, eCampus, Wimba, audio/video conferencing, Web 2.0 programs, etc.
• Ability to advise students in Masters and Ed.S. programs.
• Willingness to work some evenings and weekends.
• Ability to provide services, including limited travel, to schools and school systems throughout the state.
• Ability to take a leadership role in state and in national professional organizations.
