Biography
I received my PhD from the University of California, Berkeley, and have held academic positions at Georgia Institute of Technology and Victoria University of Wellington (New Zealand). Since my arrival at USU in 1999, I have pursued a research program to better understand how teachers can tap into the vast wealth of high-quality online resources to help engage their students. This work been conducted with many outstanding colleagues and graduate students and funded by several grants from the National Science Foundation.
Research Interests
Research interests include design and evaluation of interactive learning environments; educational uses of new media, information, and communication technologies; human-computer interaction; models of multimedia information access; social context of dynamic information ecologies.
