ITLS Website Community Features
The ITLS department website has some extra integrated features that most department websites don't have, including:
- Wiki - where anyone in the department can create and edit pages.
- Blogs for every person, including faculty and students, so that you can see what everyone has been doing lately.
- Photo galleries with pictures from various department and area related events and activities.
- Groups - or websites within a website, where people with related interests or roles may collaborate and share content and their own separate event calendar.
You can track all that is happening on this website via the tracker page or the RSS feeds. Look for the little orange RSS icon
on the bottom of various pages (or in the location field of your browser if using Firefox). You can subscribe to RSS feeds using an RSS reader such as Google Reader or Bloglines.
All these features combine to support the already strong community of faculty, staff, students, instructors, alumni, and other friends of the ITLS department, and were made possible through use of a content management system (Drupal).
