Creating User Community for OCW Through Sharing Lecture Movies

I was able to attend this session from Professor Fukuhara. The gist of the entire session was to show how Keio University in Japan does their open education.  Most of the materials and methods have been done before and were not that unique, but there was something that was very interesting. They've created educational videos with two great features: 1) they are exported to fit an iPhone screen, allowing students to use the videos wherever they have their phone, and 2) create an way to have interactive video.Click here to read more »

Embedding Video and Audio Works Now

There is now an embedded player for videos and music files when you use the [ video: url ] tag.
 
First you would want to upload your video or music file.  Either using winscp for larger files, or uploading it in drupal in your personal files area or by attaching the file to a page or blog post.
 
Then insert a [ video : url ] tag with the link to your file like in the examples below.
 
I have only tested it with FLV video and mp3 audio.  To convert your video to FLV format, you can either use MacroClick here to read more »
