There are many really cool things to write a research paper in the educational technology field. I think that I have narrowed down my list a bit, but I'd love to hear people's feedback on these. I've decided to put my focus on how these technology tools improve teacher professional development.
- Podcasting as a delivery tool in Professional Development trainings (this could be really good, because it fits with the project that I'm doing for 6350)
- Web 2.0 technologies improving teaching (I love Web 2.0 apps)

Definitions: Instructional Technology (Tom J)
I chose to direct todays comments about the definition of Instructional Technology.
I like ACET's definition of Instructional Technology on the knowledge-base WIKI. I felt that it was very encompassing of field and broad enough for people specializing in certain aspects of IT to be included as instructional technologists.

Tom's ITLS Goals
I'm excited to get rolling in the masters program, and I'm greatful that I was able to be accepted into the program so quickly. My largest goal has to do with money and piece of mind. I'm here, because a masters degree will greatly improve my pay. It is one of those hoops that I need to jump through, and I have great skills at my job, but I do feel like this overall program will help me to better understand the psychology involved in the instructional design process.
