Becky's Goals for MEd

Albert Einstein said, "We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them."  Therefore, I believe educators need to use inventive thinking to create solutions for learning deficiencies, differentiated instruction, and to produce students that can be competitive in the global market.  I believe technology is that solution.  Teaching through technology is the future of education and I want to be able to provide my students every opportunity for success.

I have many goals for this class (INST 6310) and the MEd degree to ensure I am able to provide a successful learning environment with the use of technology.  They include:
1.  I want to study proven educational strategies focused on technology and experiment with new ideas and theories.
2.  I want to offer a more efficient, flexible, and beneficial process for solving problems.
3.  I want to use interactive technologies that allow students to explore generalizations through guided programs providing immediate feedback.
4.  I want to incorporate technology and assessment strategies that evaluate students' progress that will hopefully ensure continuous development and achievement.
5.  I want to learn how to appropriately integrate technology into the teaching and learning process.
6.  I want to research and analyze new methods.
7.  I am interested in studying Dr. Kim's work in the field of technology and math.
However, my most import goal is:
8.  I want to be able to teach to the best of my abilities and provide multiple opportunities for success for my students.

I look forward to the opportunity to learn from all the professors in the department.
