Definitions according to Paul Cobb
I don't know if I can add any more to the definitions than has already been said. I do like making the distinction between instructional technology and Educational technology. I think we as teachers often get those cofused and we end up just giving instruction and do not deliver learning.
I think the bigest idea that I can take from all these definitions is the fact that learning and instruction can never be static. As people and society grow and change the way we teach has to grow and change as well.Click here to read more »

Paul Cobb's Goals
My goals for this course is to learn all that I can so that I can be the best teacher that I can possibly be. (Actually I am lying. At this point I am just hoping to get through the course with a passing grade.) My goals as a techer is to bring the joy of learning to all of my students. (Ok thats also a lie. I just want to get through the freaking school year.) This is my fourth year teaching and I am still learning. Hopefully I can take something away from this program if it does not kill me first.
