On my Honor...

...I will do my best to do my duty to myself and my family.

I expect that my biggest challenge while going through this program will be managing my time appropriately. This includes keeping my priorities straight.

While working on my BA, I was so focused on school that my children sometimes felt neglected. I thought I was setting a good example to them by working hard and getting good grades in all my classes, and maybe I was. But in the end, I'm not getting paid any more for my degree than the guy who was a mediocre student and spent more time with his family. My goal for my graduate studies is to more accurately find the balance between home and school. That being said, I'm still hoping to be a straight A student (aren't we all?).

I plan to stay with Davis School District and probably with Kaysville Jr. High until I retire or die, whichever comes first (probably death since I am such a late bloomer). However, I would also like to try my hand in higher education teaching courses at a local college or university as adjunct faculty. I got a small taste of that while going to college and really enjoyed it. I love working with people and helping them to be able to understand and use technology to make their lives easier.
