I don't tend to do anything the easy way...
Well, here it is the second week of the semester and I wonder when I will sleep. You see when I do something I have the tendency to do it "whole hog." I am so excited to be back in school learning (about instruction, psychology and technology) that I have signed myself up for 5 classes. They all seem so interesting to me--I'm like a kid in a candy store.
My sabbatical lasts only one year so I'm trying to cram as much as I can into that year (not sure that's the best strategy...but there it is). I will return to Glendale Community College next Fall armed (hopefully) with new perspectives and new ideas. I hope to turn those into something constructive some day. I love math and know that not everyone does :(. However, I think with proper tools everyone can learn math and become proficient. Today more than ever it is teachers can make math relevant. I am hopeful that I can further that effort.
Well...I'd better get back to the grindstone...BTW this is my very first blog....
