Educational standard information attachment to OERs

The nation and each state has set standards for educators to achieve in their learners. It seems that to be able to search OERs by standard, or check the standards the OERs covers would be beneficial to educators, however there are some issues in creating such a database. One issue is that state standards are based on the nation's standards, but often the wording of the individual states' standards are widely different. Using state standards appears to be more useful to educators because educational institutions emphasize state standards to be the standards used.

The real issue is getting the machine to recognize like standards between states, and apply them to appropriate OERs. Mining manual settings of OER standards was the proposed solution, meaning that computer should use the information that users manually input to assign and associate standards to OERs.
