Dare to Discover
Technology the use of knowledge to make
your life easier...

Knowing an answer is NOT the most important thing...
Knowing how to arrive at an answer is the most important thing.

"Tell me the answer and I will never remember it. Let me discover it and I will never forget."

These are just a few thoughts to express how I feel about teaching and learning with technology. As an educator I believe we need to be inventive, creative, and willing to create instruction solutions for both Digital Natives and Digital Immigrants.  Learning my memorization does not allow students to be competitive; our global society demands that we know how to find information. Using technology is the key to meeting the needs of a diverse learning population, accessing untold amounts of information, and allowing our student to be an integral part of our global society.

I have for this class (Inst 6310) and the MeD program in general. I want to...
  1. take my personal level and understanding of new technology to the next level, I want to be able to address the learning needs of the digital learner.
  2. do more than just be knowledgeable enough to teach a subject, I want to be "highly qualified"
  3. obtain the qualifications needed to teach at the University level
  4. study instructional strategies and experiment with new method of teaching
  5. study and incorporate assessment and evaluation strategies for student learning
  6. teach to the best of my abilities, engage and excite my students!

I am very excited to be furthering my education and to be working with such a diverse group of individuals.
