Summary of Semester

I have learned a lot this semester about technology as well as instructional design. One thing that I learned which may sound odd is an actual definition of instructional technology. For me computers, technology, software, hardware and any other tech jargon hasn't always some easy for me. The interest has been there, but I have always been intimidated by technology. This semester has taken a lot of my anxiety away. Not because I can take apart a computer and put it together again because I can't, but because I have been more exposed to programs that are available to me and had the opportunity to try them out.
Professor Holton has been a great resource this semester. Very approachable, he has responded quickly and efficiently to any questions or concerns that I might have had. It is nice to be able to build a relationship through a distance education program.
In regards to my future, this semester has helped me to realize my potential in my current position. There is such a need for instructional technology knowledge in public education. Through this program, I can make a difference not only in my teaching, but across my entire district.
I am excited about next semester and look forward to what is to come. I am far from being confident in the technology world, but I am definitely moving up.
