Week #2 - Learning and Behaviorism
Learning can be many things to many people. Learning in children is quite interesting to me. I love watching my children when they get what i'm telling them or teaching them. I have realized how different they learn though. They are very different in that my daughter is very driven and motivated, and my son is very hyper and aggressive and doesn't want to sit and concentrate for very long. My daughter is very smart and picks things up quickly. I don't even have to help her much with homework. She usually has it done by the time I see sit down with her. My son on the other hand, he's only 4, needs alot more motivation. He is smart and can do alot but he has to be pushed. He would rather be playing like most 4 yr olds. There is alot of things he can do that I didn't even realize because he gets bored and I wasn't pushing him sit down and complete his workbook pages. He has an awesome preschool teacher that is very patient and comes up with the neatest activities for him to do when learning. She has realized that there are certain kids in her class that just learn in different ways so she was up for the challenge of finding interesting, motivating ways to get them to sit and stay engaged.
