Wk #6 Learning
It's always amazing to me the things a child learns and what they remember from time to time. My daughter asked me this morning while I was brushing her hair why the word "love" has two vowels but you don't do anything with the "e". I thought it was really interesting because it had nothing to do with what we were doing or talking about and when she asked me that question I was really blown away by it. One of the reasons I was blown away by it is because it out of everything she could be thinking about, she was thinking about that word and vowels and putting things together in her mind. What is even more interesting is that she constanstly recalls certain things she learned over the year during Kindergarten and it's not the simple things its the more complex stuff. She is usually teaching me something different each day because I have forgotten alot of things along time ago like most of us probably have. It is refreshing to see how the mind of a 6 yr old works and how they really do act like sponges. They take so much in and process things in ways that I don't do anymore. I would never have thought to ask that question. It's just an interesting story I wanted to share.
